When 16-year-old me discovered that she could watch The Office on her laptop while she did homework (an upgrade from hoping Friends would be on Nick at Nite), she had no idea what was coming (i.e. that she would watch every episode of pretty much every other sitcom on that laptop, write several pilots and make one her thesis, and double minor in Comedy and Irish Studies as an excuse to write multiple papers about Derry Girls). At 25, half-hour television is still my love language.
My half-hour pilot “On the Ice” was a Quarterfinalist in Screencraft’s 2021 TV Pilot Contest and a Second Rounder at Austin Film Festival 2021.
My half-hour pilot “oUt oF Order” was a Quarterfinalist in Creative Screenwriting Magazine’s 2023 pilot contest, a Finalist in Emerging: A Virtual Film Festival 2021, and a Second Rounder at Austin Film Festival 2023 and 2024.
My half-hour pilot “The Girl Wonder of the Xylophone” won Second Prize in Emerging: A Virtual Film Festival 2021, and was also a Second Rounder at Austin Film Festival 2022.
